Kibera is best visited in midmorning or afternoon. Welcome to the chocolate city. Meeting point is at Greenhouse mall. After which we visit a market, a craft shop, a women's group, aerial view of the slum and a school. Visitors are encouraged to volunteer at Hope and Shine Kibera Centre if they wish to. 30% of the tour fee goes directly towards Hope and Shine Kibera Centre as donation for the school. Later drive to Carnivore Restaurant in Nairobi famous for its unique dining experience, offering a wide array of meats served in a traditional Kenyan style. Here's what you can expect for both lunch and dinner: Lunch: Timing: Lunch typically starts around 12:00 PM and goes until about 2:30 PM. Menu: The lunch experience at Carnivore is usually more casual and may include a selection of meats like beef, lamb, pork, and chicken, along with a variety of side dishes and salads. The famous 'Beast of a Feast' concept is often available, featuring a selection of meats served on skewers. Atmosphere: The vibe during lunch can be lively and less formal. It’s a great option if you're looking for a more relaxed meal. Dinner: Timing: Dinner service usually starts around 6:30 PM and runs until late. Menu: The dinner experience at Carnivore is more elaborate and can include an extended selection of meats, including exotic options like game meat. The 'Beast of a Feast' is a popular choice, where servers bring a variety of meats to your table on skewers until you're full. Atmosphere: The ambiance is typically more refined and festive in the evening. It's a good choice for a special occasion or a more formal dining experience.
